DS1054Z Sets a New Standard for Economic Oscilloscopes, Offering UltraVision, Deepest Memory and State-of-the-Art Display Technology.

Beijing, China, September 15, 2014 — Rigol Technologies Inc. today broadened its expanding coverage in the oscilloscope market with theintroduction of 50 MHz and 4 channels digital storage oscilloscopes.

Powered by Rigol’s patented UltraVision technology, the new 50 MHz model breaks new ground by providing 4 channels analog input along with 4 four of 150 MHz passive probes, 12 M points deep memory with a maximum 30,000waveform update rate, and full bandwidth on 1mV/div vertical input to a market previously dominated by Tektronix’ TDS1000/2000 & TBS1000/B portable oscilloscope family.

Our award-winning UltraVision technology, first introduced in 2009 with theDS6000 series of digital storage oscilloscopes, enables designers andeducators to reap the benefits of a high resolution capture over long timespans, detailed viewing of critical events in complex waveforms due to ahigh definition display, and reliable viewing of intermittent signalanomalies delivered by the fast waveform update rates. With options ofseries bus analyzer and advanced trigger, DS1054Z is the first 50 MHzdigital oscilloscope dealing with low series buses analysis in the industryand education.

In the past, small form factor, portable oscilloscopes offered lesschannel, less memory, lower display quality, and fewer trigger andmeasurement features compared to their larger. With the introduction of theDS1054Z, Rigol’s UltraVision technology, responsible for fast deep memory
and a high definition waveform viewing experience and options for serial busanalysis capability, is available across Rigol’s broad oscilloscope lineup—from 50 MHz to 1 GHz in bandwidth.

“Educators need new tools to extend the teach labs’ capability oflaboratories more closer to industry today. Engineers need tools capable ofhandling today’s design challenges. The new DS1054Z oscilloscopes tacklethese needs head-on with their best-in-class deep memory, high-definitiondisplay system, and a superior ability to capture signal transients as wellas series buses analysis.

This delivers on two things engineers care most about: catching design bugsand problems before they get to their customers quickly, and increasingtheir own level of debug efficiency.”
